Sketching with pencil on paper is fun but if you may want to take your art to the digital level you will need a graphics pad for digital sketching such as the HUION 1060 PLUS. This tablet ticks plenty of boxes for those looking to get into digital art, photo editing or graphic designing.

The 1060 PLUS drawing tablet is lightweight, it is easy to use, it has a comfortable working area and it will fit in a laptop bag. The 1060 PLUS drawing tablet is only 10 mm thick, 360 mm long and 240 mm wide so it's very slim and discreet and does not stand out sitting on a desk.

Most importantly, the working area of the 1060 PLUS has a grainy texture that feels very much like drawing on paper!

The 1060PLUS drawing tablet connects via USB and installation is straight forward thanks to the driver already installed in the micro SD card. Simply plug the tablet into the USB socket of your PC or laptop and the required drivers will automatically install.

With HUION's 1060 PLUS, you get a 5080 LPI (Lines Per Inch) resolution and 233 resolutions per second reporting rate, which means the pen response on the tablet is very smooth and fast, giving accurate drawing results.

On the tablet, there are also 12 customize-able express keys and 16 hot (soft) keys that you can preset as shortcuts.

The stylus pen on the 1060 PLUS works similar to that of a clickable ballpoint pen and features two configurable buttons for controlling the actions on the computer.

For instance, you can have the pen left button function as a mouse or left click, and you simply set this by opening the driver panel pen settings, choose the button you would like to set and then choose your preferred setting.

The stylus pen is rechargeable via USB which is very convenient as it means not having to worry about replacing batteries.

You also get a pen stand and four replacement pen tips. The stylus pen supports 2048 levels of pressure so you only require about a 1 gram of pen pressure for the pen to register on the tablet. Battery charge on the stylus pen can last a good 450 hours, depending on usage.

The tablet is pressure sensitive so the more pressure you apply the thicker the line you draw and vice versa. The reading height is 10 mm, which means the pen will respond 10 mm above the active working area of the tablet, which is 10" by 6.25" (similar to a 15" laptop display).

The HUION 1060 PLUS drawing tablet will work with any program such as Photoshop Elements, Sketchbook pro, ArtRage and Corel Painter that supports pen and pressure on the tablet. If you can't afford Adobe, the tablet also works with GIMP, which is free and very powerful.
