Edifier Bric Connect IF335BT Hideaway Bluetooth Speaker w/ Auxiliary Input

Friday, September 08, 2017

The Edifier Bric Connect iF335BT is a neat little Hi-Fi portable speaker system that makes a nice permanent fixture as a TV sound system!
The audio quality output by the Bric Connect is really impressive and for the price, the Bric Connect really gives more expensive Hi-Fi systems a run for their money.
The Bric Connect sound reproduction and volume level is nicely balanced across the frequency spectrum with good bass (40Hz bass tone) and high treble notes (20kHz).
decent midrange and high frequencies
With the Edifier Bric Connect, you get Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR connectivity, a 3.5 mm auxiliary input, a remote control and a built-in microphone for conference calling or skype chats.
The Bric Connect has a rather classy design with metallic bass reflect accents and black grill mesh with Edifier logo embroidered on it. The main housing as well as the mesh grill and bass reflects are made of plastic so the unit is pretty lightweight (weighs only 1.kg).
The Bric Connect Bluetooth speaker features two 8Ω speaker drivers with a total of 12W RMS power output.
The speaker drivers are 2¾ inch (70mm) in size and are magnetically shielded which means you can safely place the Bric Connect speaker on top of an Android media player or cathode ray tube (CRT) TV monitor without the speaker drivers magnetic waves distorting the TV screen or the magnetic hard drive media of a media player.
Because of its hideaway design, the Bric Connect can be tucked away while being powered by AC mains. The Bric Connect is portable though o you take it with you on the go thanks to a removable battery compartment where you can fit six AA rechargeable batteries.
On the bottom of the Bric Connect speaker, you find four rubber feet as well as a remote holder to store the wireless remote control when not in use.
The remote control is powered by a coin cell CR2025 battery and allows you to control the volume, answer calls, skip songs and also switch between BT (Bluetooth connectivity) and AUX (wired connection) inputs.
On top of the Bric Connect unit, you get a power/pair Bluetooth button, dedicated volume control buttons and a call button to answer, reject and end phone calls. There is also a small LED indicator that shows blue when in Bluetooth mode and green when in AUX mode.
What's neat about the answer call function of the Bric Connect is that while on a hands-free call you can switch back to talking on your phone by holding down the call button.
