Rock Jaw Alfa Genus V2 Earphones With Screw-In Tuning Filters

Thursday, May 10, 2018

Quality sound is a key signature that speaks volumes of any pair of headphones! In the case of the Alfa Genus V2 earphones by Rock Jaw Audio, the instrument separation is very good. You can hear every note very well.
The Rock Jaw Alfa Genus V2 earbuds have built-in to them 8mm dynamic drivers with 16 ohm impedance. The driver sensitivity is 108 dB with a +/- 3dB variation and a frequency response range between 20Hz and 20,000Hz.
The construction of the Alfa Genus V2, including the nozzle tips, is made of aluminum metal so the earphones have a solid build quality while being lightweight, weighing only 9 grams.
The nozzle tips have metal mesh filters along with a straight design so the earphones insert directly into the ear canal.
While the Alfa Genus V2 haven't got angled nozzles, you can insert them deep enough inside the ear canal so they stay secure in your ears comfortably. Being light weight also helps to keep the earphones from falling out.
As mentioned earlier, the sound quality reproduction of the the Alfa Genus V2 earphones is outstanding with detailed highs and powerful bass without being overwhelming. You can also hear the difference between the different tuning filters.
The three interchangeable color-coded tuning filters are designed to enhance the bass and treble or make the sound flat or neutral sounding. The tuning filters have a thread so they screw-in.
The thick rubber anti-tangle cable is 1.2 meters long and ends in a gold plated 3.5mm right angle jack.
non-microphone version has a TRS jack plug; hence only two plastic dividers
drawstring carry pouch included
The eartips included with the Alfa Genus V2 earphones are silicone ear tips in small, medium and large sizes. Memory foam in medium and large size, and a pair of small size double flange ear tips. See the review of the Rock Jaw T5 Ultra Connect.
