Sennheiser CX Sport Quick Charging Bluetooth aptX Headphones

Friday, June 22, 2018

Let's face it, being tethered to a smartphone while exercising is not the most convenient way to workout; hence a pair of wireless headphones make all the difference!
That being said, any old wireless headphones won't do because sweat and headphones aren't a match made in heaven unless, of course, they are sport headphones that are specifically designed for exercising like in the case of the Sennheiser CX Sport which are splash and sweat-resistant in-ear headphones.
Aside from sweat resistance, the Sennheiser CX Sport have a behind-the-neck design where the cable drapes behind the back of the neck. The ear silicone fins are soft, breathable and fit snugly in the crease of the ear preventing the earphones from falling out.

The Sennheiser CX Sport cable also has a cable management feature that lets you adjust the amount of cable slack.
It is also worth pointing out that you can wear the CX Sport earphones in front of you which works just as good. The included croc clip is always nice to have for cable management and overall support.
The behind-the-neck cable design means you won't be dropping the earphones on the floor and you'll be able to take the earphones on and off without stopping your workout which is very convenient.

Sound quality is, of course, the most important feature of any headphones so it's good to see that the Sennheiser CX Sport integrate Bluetooth 4.2 with all latest Bluetooth audio codecs.
The Bluetooth audio codecs include aptX, AAC, SBC and aptX-LL (low latency), which not only makes the audio quality better but also cut down latency drastically so virtually no audio lag when watching a video.

As far as battery life, the Sennheiser CX Sport built-in rechargeable Lithium-ion Polymer battery can power them for 6 hours which is a good number of hours considering the higher bit rates which suck up more battery life but do offer higher sound quality.

On top of that, you get "quick charge" so the battery recharges really fast for the first 10 minutes, giving you a full hour of playback. Full charge takes just under 90 minutes.
With the Sennheiser CX Sport, you also get a handy 3-button remote with a HD quality omni-directional microphone.
A few other nifty features you get with the CX Sport earphones include battery voice prompt and multi-connection which lets you connect your CX Sport earphones to up to two devices at the same time and pair them to up to eight devices.
Sennheiser CX Sport also comes with three fin sizes (S/M/L), four sizes of ear tips (XS, S, M, L) and a nice-looking neoprene zipper pouch for storing them.
