QCY T2C TWS Bluetooth 5.0 In Ear Headphones

Friday, July 12, 2019

With more and more manufacturers removing the standard audio connectivity from their phones, the 3.5mm headphone jack is slowly, but surely, becoming a figment of imagination!
Without a 3.5mm headphone jack on a phone, the only alternative to listen to music (other than on loudspeaker) it's with a pair of bluetooth headphones or fully wireless earbuds like the QCY T2C, which are super lightweight (4.6 grams) true wireless stereo (TWS) in-ears without wires!
The QCY T2C are canal-type earphones so they don't rest outside the ear canal like earbuds do. The advantage with in-ear headphones is that audio is directly blasting into your eardrums and you get a better bass response.
The QCY T2C have a comfortable fit and they are fairly secure, thanks to the angled nozzles, which has a thermoplastic matte finish, just like the rest of the body. On the front of the earpieces, you get a large multi-functional button with a built-in led indicator to indicate pairing and charging.
The QCY T2C have an IPX4 waterproof rating so, they are technically sweat resistant but if you are someone who sweats buckets, it's best going with earphones with better waterproofing like the QY7 and QY12 earphones.
As far as overall audio and sound quality, the QCY T2C TWS in-ear have a loud volume with clear sound, good bass and treble reproduction.
The supported audio codecs by the QCY T2C TWS in-ears are SBC and AAA which is high resolution audio for iOS devices. AptX isn't supported so there is no high resolution audio support for Android devices.
The earphones come with a sizeable charging dock that doubles as storage case, containing a lithium-ion rechargeable battery with 3.7V 800mAh capacity capable of storing 30 hours worth of battery power.
Charging time for the charging dock is approximately 60 minutes via 5V/0.8A input charge, which is the maximum input charge the charging case will draw even if you use a 5V/1A or 5V/2A wall charger.
Each earpiece is equipped with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with a 3.7V 43mAh capacity, which takes 2 hours to charge and can deliver 3.5 hours of play time (120 hours in standby).
Automatic pairing is another feature, meaning when you take the earbuds out of the charging dock they automatically power on and pair with each other in a few seconds.
After initial pairing with your phone, you literary take the earbuds out of the charging dock and put them in your ears. Considering the relative low price, the QCY T2C pairing process is definitely one of the simplest implemented in a pair of TWS earbuds.
There is a microphone built-in to the QCY T2C TWS earphones, which you can use to communicate with your voice assistant, including Google Assistant, Siri and Alexa. The microphone amplification is good but, like with most TWS earphones, the microphone amplification is not loud enough in noisy situations like windy days and busy roads with fast moving traffic.
There's no way to adjust volume on the earbuds so, volume has to be adjusted on your phone.
With some true wireless stereo in-ear headphones, only one earpiece works during a phone call but with the QCY T2C both earbuds work, which enhances the calling experience tremendously.
All in all, if you are looking for a pair of TWS in-ear headphones, the QCY T2C headphones will not disappoint. You get the latest Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, which features a stronger wireless signal and even better battery life than Bluetooth 4.2 when connected to a Bluetooth 5.0 smartphone or tablet.
12 months QCY warranty
Of course, Bluetooth 5.0 is backwards compatible so, the QCY T2C TWS in-ear will work with devices using bluetooth 4.2 and older bluetooth connectivity. The Bluetooth range is 10 meters in clear line of sight without obstructions.

  1. The only alternative to no 3.5mm jack is Bluetooth? Um really? What about the USB C port?
