AUKEY PA-Y12 Fast Charging 72W PPS USB Charger

Thursday, September 20, 2018

Thanks to the USB PD standard, you can now get charging stations like the AUKEY PA-Y12 to charge multiple power hungry USB devices through a single cable and simultaneously without the need of a dedicated AC adapter for each device!
The AUKEY PA-Y12 charging station integrates programmable power supply which makes possible for rapid charging without unnecessary heat, outputting a total of 72W of power using an AC power cord plugged in to the wall socket.
the AUKEY PA-Y12 charging station operates within the voltage range of 100V and 240V
The AUKEY 72W charging station has a sleak, seamless matt black finish with three green ports. One of those ports is a 60W Power Delivery USB-C port with variable voltage and current so you can fully charge a 13-inch MacBook Pro, a Nintendo Switch games console or a Samsung Galaxy S8+ smartphone.
The variable voltage and current via the Power Delivery port of the AUKEY charging station means voltage and current varies according to the device between 5V 3A, 9V 3A, 12V 3A, 15V 3A and 20V 3A.
The USB-C Power Delivery port also integrates PPS (programmable power supply) with constant current charging from 3V to 21V up to 3A so you can also charge smartphones up to 50% in just 15 minutes.
The other two green ports you see on the AUKEY PA-Y12 fast charging USB station are adaptive charging USB-A ports integrating AiPower, which is AUKEY's version of fast charging technology. This means, you get a "smart chip" inside of the charging station that is able to tell when a fast charging device is connected to it so it can deliver 2.4A of power via 5V.
With devices that cannot handle 2.4A of power, the smart chip delivers the standard 2.0A automatically so the smart chip prevents any overheating due to overcurrent.
