Super-Cardioid directional pattern
If you're looking for a microphone solution that you can use to record clean audio instantly at any time, the Rode Videomic Go is a great lightweight on-camera microphone solution to choose! Rode's Videomic Go is perfect for making documentaries, travelling videos, indie films, and YouTube tutorials.
With the Videomic Go, you essentially get a directional shotgun microphone with a Rycote thermoplastic suspension system that mounts on the shoe mount on top of your DLSR/ mirrorless camera.
Weighs only 73 grams (2.5oz) (RODE's lightest camera microphone)
The Videomic Go mic optimizes the audio quality of your video productions and it's really easy to set up. Just plug it in and it's ready to record!
3.5 mm stereo mini jack
As far as functionality, the Videomic Go is powered by your own camera's battery, which is handy as it means not having to worry about "forgetting to turn on the mic".
Frequency Range: 100Hz ~ 16,000Hz
If you've used a battery-powered microphone before, you'll know how annoying it can be having to remember to turn the mic off to prevent draining the battery.
Sound Pressure Level (SPL) up to 120dB
The Videomic Go on-camera microphone comes with a removable male to male 8th-inch coiled cable. Also, the VideoMic Go's hot shoe mount has three positions for the microphone.
Videomic Go's length is 16 cm. Total height including suspension is 8 cm
All you have to do is unscrew the hot shoe mount and reposition the Videomic Go mic back or further forwards so it doesn't get in the way when you want to use your camera's eyepiece.
