Friday, March 10, 2017

The size and shape of a mouse is definitely one of the most important factors in determining the perfect mouse for you, especially if you work with computers or put in a lot of PC gaming hours!
If you are searching for a medium-sized mouse with claw-grip shape, superb performance and eye-catching color scheme, check out the Mionix Castor ice cream teal color!
The Mionix Castor mouse really stands out from other mice and the teal color really spices up the desktop area bringing it to life.
12.2 cm x 4 cm x 7 cm
The Mionix Castor color gaming mouse is lightweight, easy to maneuver on the desk and features the flawless sensor Pixart-3310, which has a perfect control speed and a wide variety of native DPI, adjusted in 100 steps (5000 max DPI)
The Pixart-3310 (PMW-3310) optical sensor also has a maximum speed of 5.4 m/s (215 IPS) and a very low Lift-Off-Distance (LOD).
If you are not familiar with LOD, LOD just means how high you have to lift up the mouse before the mouse  stops moving the cursor. If you are a seasoned gamer, you will know the lower LOD the better as it equals faster accuracy.
Soft touch rubber coated surface
Another great thing about the Pixart-3310 optical sensor that comes with the Mionix Castor color mouse is that it is perfect for gaming because it can do as low as 400 DPI. Low DPI is just perfect for first-person-shooter games such as CS:GO (Counter-Strike: Global Offensive) as it gives you more precise control of movement.

The Mionix Castor color feels really comfortable in the hand and can certainly fit medium to large size hands.

1.5 meter long braided cable
The right side of the Castor Color mouse features a groove for resting the ring and pinky fingers. which is great as it allows all the fingers of your hand to rest nicely on the mouse.
You get a total of 6 programmable buttons, the DPI button behind the scrolling wheel/button and two side buttons just above the thumb area. The thumb resting area is textured with indented holes that provide superb grippiness.
The Mionix Castor color mouse also has 128 kB built-in memory for storing mouse settings and gaming performance.
On the topic of performance, the Castor Color mouse comes with a nifty piece of software, called Mionix Hub, that not only allows you to change DPI settings and program buttons but also quantify your gaming experience. You can record number of mouse clicks, mouse travel distance and number of scrolls.
