NTONPOWER Surge Protected Extension Cable with USB Charging

Monday, September 25, 2017

A good way to update an old power strip is with one that integrates intelligent USB charging and safety features like voltage protection and fireproof casing.

Take for instance, the Ntonpower 6 outlet power strip with nicely spaced out AC sockets. It comes with a 1700 Joule rating surge protection and 13A socket, meaning the AC sockets can handle over 3000 watts and are protected from any voltage spikes.
The voltage surge protection is a pretty handy feature to have as it means your gadgets and other home electrics that are plugged in to the power strip like a TV or computer won't get damaged.
The Ntonpower 6 AC outlet power strip also comes with 5 USB ports which integrate a smart IC chip that can tell when the battery is charged up and how much charge to deliver to a specific USB device. This is great as it means you won't have to worry about your devices over charging.

The total USB output of the five USB ports is 8 amps, which translates to 1.6 amps per USB port. With that said, each USB port can deliver up to a maximum of 2.4 amps. You can power a total of 40 watts via all USB ports.
