Anker Soundcore Spirit Pro Bluetooth Watertight Earphones With Equalizer

Wednesday, July 11, 2018

Easy to pair, IPX rating, good sound quality and clear bass are some things that make a pair of headphones value for money.
Consider the Soundcore Spirit Pro bluetooth waterproof earphones by Anker. They are perfect for daily use in the gym and listening to music whilst commuting or running outdoors thanks to hydrophobic nano coating (SweatGuard) that is impermeable, making the Soundcore Spirit Pro watertight by not allowing water/sweat to pass through.
The Soundcore Spirit Pro micro USB charging port has no USB port cover similarly to running watches like the Polar M400 which also doesn't feature a USB port cover.
Instead, the rubber cover from the Soundcore Spirit Pro has been removed from the micro USB charging port which makes drying of the port more effective.

The micro USB port still has an IPX7 waterproofing rating so water/sweat won't pass through. Just let the micro USB port dry properly before plugging-in the charging cable and you're good to go.
Not having a USB port cover also makes the charging experience a bit more convenient as you don't have to open and close the port cover. Plus, you won't have to worry about the USB port cover breaking off, which is reassuring.
As far as sound, the Soundcore Spirit Pro pack high fidelity sound thanks to built-in aptX HD and a dual equalizer feature that lets you adjust the bass and treble to have a flat balanced sound or more bass which is nice when working out. iPhones do not support aptX, but luckily the Soundcore Spirit Pro support AAC so you still get high quality audio.
The dual-EQ feature works similarly to the BassUp feature in the Soundcore Flare and Soundcore Motion Q speaker, and it's activated by holding both volume (+) and Play/Pause (>) buttons at the same time for a couple of seconds (you'll hear an audible beep). Deactivating the dual-EQ works the same as the above procedure.
The overall design of the Soundcore Spirit Pro is similar to the Soundbuds Slim+ because of the ear wings, magnetic backing, thick stress reliefs and speaker driver enclosure which houses 6mm drivers.
The Soundcore Spirit Pro also have angled nozzles which really improves the comfort especially when wearing them for hours-on-end. They also only weigh 17 grams so the Soundcore Spirit Pro are extremely lightweight.
The 3-button remote microphone has a thermoplastic outer casing with rubberized control buttons with raised symbols, making them tactile.
The buttons control the audio playback play/pause, skipping tracks, volume, bluetooth pairing, answer and reject calls when connected to your smartphone.
10 meter-long Bluetooth 4.2 signal

A full 1.5-hour charge can get you 10 hours of play time which is pretty good considering that the Soundcore Spirit Pro charge via a 5V 0.5A input. This means, you can hook them up to one of the USB 2.0 ports of your laptop or computer.
The Soundcore Spirit Pro earphones are compatible with iPhone iOS, Macbook MacOS and Android so you can connect to any of this devices wirelessly via Bluetooth 4.2.
The Soundcore Spirit Pro earphones come bundled with a selection of different eartips and ear wings, cable management, shirt clip, micro USB charging cable, user guide and snap carrying pouch. Anker's worry-free 18-month warranty is also included. The Spirit Pro come also in red and blue limited edition colors which are cheaper in price.
