1More EVO Review ANC Earbuds With Dual Drivers

Friday, May 05, 2023

Get ready to take your listening experience to the next level with the 1MORE EVO! These earbuds are not your ordinary true wireless earbuds. They feature a dual-driver configuration that enables 1MORE EVO to deliver audio quality that rivals that of in-ear monitors (IEMs).

As well as impressive sound, 1MORE EVO integrates active noise cancellation (ANC), stylish design and six microphones for calls with AI-powered noise cancellation to suppress background chatter and noises during calls.

In terms of aesthetics, the 1MORE EVO has a sleek and discreet design. The earbuds weighs 5 grams and have a plastic body with a metal ring and pearl-like glossy faceplate. The earbuds are comfortable to wear but they're a bit bulky so, they stick out a bit. For a more secure fit, it is best going for the 1MORE AERO, 1MORE PistonBuds Pro or 1MORE ComfoBuds Pro. The EVO earbuds are easy to remove from the case - you can pinch them out with two fingers. The earbuds can be connected whilst inside the charging case and, you can switch between earbuds for mono listening with no re-connection delay. The bluetooth status led light on the earbuds doesn't blink when connected.

The EVO earbuds have highly sensitive touch controls, which require a light touch, no tapping required. You can control play/pause, voice control and calls (answer/end) by default so, you will need to download the 1MORE Music mobile app to select other functions such as track skipping (next/previous),volume (up/down), LDAC codec and soothing sounds. Some drawbacks with the app: you can only control a maximum of 3 functions per earbud via double tap and triple tap. There is no long press function, no single tap function, and no built-in EQ or sound presets.

The EVO charging case is 6.5cm long x 4cm high x 3cm thick and weighs 48 grams. It is also plastic made with a rubberized bottom and strong hinge lid. The charging case is compact and elegant. The battery life with medium volume is 5 hours with ANC ON and 7 hours with ANC OFF. Thee EVO charging case can hold around 25 hours of extra power to recharge the earbuds multiple times. The EVO earbuds and charging case charging time is 1 hour and 2 hours respectively. The case can be charged wirelessly via a Q-wireless charging pad in about 2 hours when using a 10W Qi charger.

The 1MORE EVO supports stable Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity with AAC, SBC and LDAC codec, which provides the best sound quality. The earbuds feature four ANC and two transparency modes that can be customized through the 1MORE Music app, and an IPX4 water resistance rating.
