Fortunately, in-ear earphones like the Edifier TWS NB earphones are getting clever with neat features such as ambient sound mode so, you can be more aware of your surroundings. On top of that, the Edifier TWS NB earphones feature ANC (active noise cancellation) and Bluetooth 5.0 aptX, which helps keep latency low when watching videos on YouTube.
The charging case that comes with the Edifier TWS NB earphones is beefy, tall looking and reminiscent of a treasure chest. The dimensions of the charging case are 8.5cm long, 2.5cm wide and 4cm tall. Weight (without the earbuds) is 62 grams. The shell of the charging case has a metal finish, while the docking area is made of plastic, including the retainer clips that secure the TWS NB earphones inside the charging case.
The docking area is not magnetized; hence the retainer clips. The TWS NB earphones sit inside the charging case at an angle and are super easy to take in and out of the charging case. Simply tilt back the earbud, lift up and out they come. When putting the earphones back in the charging case, you simply insert and push down until they clip into place.
The base of the Edifier TWS NB charging case has a continuous foam pad that runs from corner to corner. The foam pad has a thin strip of rubber surrounding the perimeter of the foam pad. The Edifier TWS NB earphones are much larger in size than most true wireless earbuds but with good reason since the TWS NB earphones pack features you typically don't get with most true wireless earphones, including "ambient sound listening" and active noise cancellation.
The Edifier TWS NB earphones have a tall and stocky body with a small nozzle neck, which is angled, providing a comfortable fit inside the ears. The earphones are entirely made of plastic. The body has a smooth matte finish, while the plastic front panel has a brushed finish that looks like metal. Each earbud weighs 8 grams.
The ring inside the front panel of the earphones is also plastic and integrates the etching of the Edifier logo and the microphone for active noise cancellation and ambient sound monitoring. The microphone for calls is located on the body of the earphone. It has good volume and does a fair job of slightly reducing background noise during a call.
The TWS NB earphones have a bulky footprint so, they protrude outwards a bit more than earbuds. That said, the earphones don't fall out of the ears, thanks to extra security provided by the add-on silicone wingtips, which anchor the earbuds in the ear.

From the abstract print on the earpieces to the polished stainless steel charger case, the Master & Dynamic MW07 true wireless earphones are a work of  masterful craftsmanship that almost beckons white cotton gloves when handling them.

The Master & Dynamic MW07 D-shape outer casing is made of acetate plastic, while the angled nozzle body of the earphones is made of matte black acetate plastic finish. The nozzle body length is 28.3mm long so the earphones don't protrude from your ears.
The Master & Dynamic MW07 earphones sure make a very good first impression although it's not just good looks you get.
The MW07 earphones have astonishingly good audio performance and loud volume with wide soundstage and detailed, warm bass response. Listening to music feels like wearing a pair of headphones with music playing behind your ears.
The customized MW07 speaker drivers are 10mm in diameter and made with beryllium which is second to diamonds in cost so a very expensive material.
It's not clear whether the Master & Dynamic MW07 use pure beryllium or beryllium alloy but given the price tag of the MW07 earphones is safe to assume the former.
Speaker drivers made with beryllium compound are better than pure aluminum or titanium drivers; hence why very high end headphone companies use beryllium because of its unique acoustic characteristics.
Matching the premium materials used in the making of the MW07 earphones is a very powerful bluetooth 4.2 transmission signal with a 20 meters wireless coverage which offers solid bluetooth connectivity without dropouts even when running.
Speaking of bluetooth connectivity, the MW07 pairing process is easy and quick. You only pair the right earphone to your phone while the left earphone automatically connects to the right one magnetically via Near Field Magnetic Induction (NFMI) which is the same technology used in near-field communication (NFC) and wireless charging.
Having magnetic induction connection between the earphones is neat because the connection is strong and stable. With that said, you cannot use the MW07 earphones independently from each other but, you can with the newer MW08 hybrid ANC earbuds.
User controls are located on top of the earphones and consist of a single multi-functional button on the right earpiece and a volume rocker on the left earpiece. The controls are responsive and tactile so you can effortlessly operate them without digging the earphones into your ears.
The button on the right earpiece controls several functions that are activated via a series of presses, including pause/play (single press), skip forward track (double press), skip back track (triple press).
To activate voice control and manual pairing mode, you hold down the button for as few seconds. The right earpiece also integrates a pulsating led indicator.
The battery life of the Master & Dynamic MW07 earphones is approximately 3.5 hours from a single 40-minute charge and a total of 14 hours of battery life when using the power bank charger case which can charge the MW07 earphones three times over.
The MW07 charging case measures 64.6mm long, 26.8mm wide and 45.1mm high and weighs 76 grams.
Battery life is lower than the competition but you get twice the wireless coverage than the competition.

The MW07 earphones also integrate quick charge technology so 50% of the battery is charged in just 15 minutes.
The Master & Dynamic MW07 earphones also feature an interesting use of optical sensor technology embedded in the MW07 earphones that automatically pauses the audio when you remove the earphones from your ears and automatically resumes audio play when inserting the MW07 earphones back in your ears within 10 seconds.
While the Master & Dynamic MW07 uses a high quality bluetooth audio codec (aptX) it does not support AAC which is a the aptX equivalent for iPhones and iPads since iPhones and iPads don't currently support aptX.
With that said, Android devices and most digital audio players (DAP) support aptX but it's worth bearing in mind that the audio quality drops slightly when connected to an iPhone and iPad.
As far as fit, the Master & Dynamic MW07 fit comfortably in the ears thanks to their lightweight (9 grams each) and grippy silicone ear wings shaped like a bear's paw. These wings are made by Master & Dynamic so you cannot use third party wings.
Having the wings is great for extra support when running with the MW07 earphones and while they are not marketed as sport headphones, the MW07 earphones do have an IPX4 water resistant rating so any water that is splashed onto them will not penetrate.
