A keyboard that makes you want to get up everyday to game is the perfect keyboard! The Razer Blackwidow Chroma V2 keyboard has a lot going for it that will make you fall in love with gaming all over again!

For starters, the Chroma V2 keyboard features really bright RGB lighting that really pops, as well as five dedicated macro keys and fully programmable keys with on-the-fly macro recording. The RGB V2 also comes with game integration software that makes the Blackwidow Chroma V2 keyboard become an even better extension to your gaming experience.
The matt black smudge-free finish on the Blackwidow Chroma V2 keyboard prevents oily fingerprints, while the standard font keycaps give the keyboard a nice classic look.

Under the keycaps, you find brand new Razer yellow switches, which are linear and silent type switches with an actuation point between 1.2 mm and 0.3 mm (the actuation force is 45 g).

With that said, when ordering your Blackwidow Chroma V2 keyboard, you can choose from Razer green switches (tactile and clicky) and Razer orange switches (tactile and silent) instead of the Razer yellow switches.

On the back of the keyboard, you find rubberized pads and two feet on top to elevate the keyboard. The serial number for warranty registration is also on the back of the keyboard.

On the right side of the keyboard you find a USB pass through port and a 3.5 mm 4-pole audio pass through headphone jack so you can plug in a pair of headset or a mouse on the keyboard without having to plug them into your PC.

Setting up the Razer Blackwidow Chroma V2 keyboard is as simple as plug and play. Then, download the Razor Synapse software installer for Windows or MAC and install it on  your PC. You'll be prompted to create an account or to sign in with an existing Razer account.

Once on the dashboard, you can assign different colors to each key on the keyboard. You get eight cool RGB lighting effects to choose from which include wave (rainbow effect), breathing, fire, reactive (reacts to your keystrokes), spectrum cycling, static, starlight and ripple.

A nifty feature that comes with the Blackwidow Chroma is the Razer Chroma SDK tool which really makes the Blackwidow Chroma V2 keyboard come to life!
You can develop your own Chroma app effects with the Chroma SDK platform or you can download premade Chroma app effects that you can install to allow your keyboard to interact with the game that you are playing, which is pretty cool. For instance, if you are playing a game like Counter Strike, the keyboard becomes a health bar so when you take damage you can see it visually on the keyboard.

Another cool application developed on the Razer Chroma SDK is the Audio Visualizer app that allows your music to pulse through your keyboard. Then, there is the Snake for Chroma app that allows you to play the game of Snake directly on your Razer BlackWidow Chroma V2 keyboard.
The main key on the Blackwidow Chroma V2 keyboard is the fn button and twelve function keys (F1 to F12) and Pause Break button which you press in combination to activate their secondary features on your PC.
F1 (mute), F2 (volume down) and F3 (volume up) are the volume controls. F5 (skip track backwards), F6 (play/pause) and F7 (skip track forward) are the media keys. F11 and F12 are the backlight control keys to increase and decrease the brightness of the keyboard's LEDs.
Fn + Pause Break button activates sleep mode, allowing you to suspend/idle your PC to save electricity.
Lastly, if you register the Blackwidow Chroma V2 keyboard online, you get 2 years limited keyboard manufacturer's warranty., as well as 6 months limited wrist rest manufacturer's warranty, and free online technical support.
