The easiest way to turn your TV into a Smart TV is with an Android TV Box like the G-Box Q3 by Matricom, which features Amlogic S905X quad-core processing and VP9 video acceleration, as well as Penta-Core Mali-450 graphics processing for smooth HD playback even in 4K at 60 frames per second.
The Matricom G Box Q3 Android TV box looks sleak with the glossy black top and LED-illuminated G logo. The G Box Q3 is pretty compact in size, measuring 5 inches long and 5 inches wide. The total height (thickness) of the G Box Q3 is 1 inch. On the bottom of the unit you find rubber feet and cooling vents.
What's neat about the G Box Q3 is that it also integrates an Android operating system (Android 7.1.7) so you can easily personalize the TV box and download Android apps from the Google Play Store.

The G Box Q3 Android TV box has an easy to navigate user-interface, which consists of tabs, buttons and icons that make it easier to navigate between settings and applications.
The icons include an icon bell which brings a notification bar where you can see email/YouTube notifications as well as access the settings page. The notification bar can also be accessed by hovering with the mouse pointer at the top the screen.
To access the volume, screenshot button and power button, you simply pull up the bottom of the screen with the mouse pointer. You can also volume up/down and power the unit off from the remote control. The TV box itself doesn't feature any buttons.
Next to the bell icon, you find a small x icon (for quickly closing all running apps), a wireless icon and Ethernet icon (for accessing the network settings), a USB icon (for accessing a connected USB flash drive), a Bluetooth icon (to pair Bluetooth devices to the TV box), and a gear icon for accessing sound, display and other settings.
On the top right corner, you also find the date and time which can be clicked to access the date/time settings page directly.
KODI doesn't come pre-installed but you can easily install it by clicking the KODI button on the home screen, which takes you to the KODI Google Play Store where you can download the latest version of KODI (v17.4 Krypton). Next to the KODI button, you find a Facebook button, a Matricom Store button and a YouTube button. The Matricom Store is like the Google Play Store as in you can download games and install apps.
Under Video Tab, you get four pre-installed movie/TV applications including Netflix, FilmonTV, Hulu, and TubiTV for watching movies and TV shows.
Under Music Tab, you get four music applications, including Pandora, SoundCloud, Deezer and Spotify. Under Apps Tab, you get several preinstalled handy apps like Miracast, OTA updater, YouTube, MoviePlayer and AppInstaller which allows you to install applications from USB, SD, or internal storage.
